CBH Group Little Learners

Little Learners is for parents and children aged 0-4. It is an early development program initiated by the Kellerberrin District High School with support from the Kellerberrin Playgroup and the Kellerberrin Community.

The Little Learners program runs on Tuesdays 9am to 10.30am throughout the school year.

Little Learners is an innovative program based on evidence that shows that learning in the early years must be based on quality, developmentally-attuned interactions with primary care givers and opportunities for play-based problem solving with others that stimulate brain development. There is only a small ‘window of opportunity’ for may of the critical periods for optimal brain development. Contemporary research has shown that these periods are over waning by the time a child is six years old. The support of this program depends on support from the community and we would urge all parents with children in this age group to attend these learning sessions with their children. Not only is it educational but it is fun for both the parent and child and allows them to have social interaction with other children of the same age.

Further information can be obtained by contacting the Kellerberrin District High School Office (08) 9045 4308.
