Kellerberrin Hill Lookout

Kellerberrin Hill Lookout

The lookout on top of the Kellerberrin Hill is accessible by road and provides panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The view of the town is superb and on a still summer evening snippets of conversations can be heard from various localities around the town.

Old Doodlakine Townsite

Where once a bustling little community existed in 1891 on the Goldfields Road, there is nothing but the remains of an old well, where early explorers and travellers to the goldfields would stop to water their horses.

Nothing remains of the original town site of Doodlakine, its place is marked by a plaque which was unveiled on the celebration of the town's centenary. The passing of the railway line 5 Kms south of the original town spelt the end for 'Old Doodlakine' which gradually migrated to its current location and set up adjacent to the railway line.

In the meantime Kellerberrin had grown and became the predominant town within the region and eventually in 1908 the centre for local government, with the establishment of the Kellerberrin Road Board.

Baandee Lakes Lookout

Sweeping views across the landscape and Baandee Salt Lakes can be had from this high vantage point. A layby and interpretive panels are provided for the Golden Pipeline traveler.
