Engineering
The Kellerberrin Shire has a fully integrated outside workforce and utilises plant and staff for the most beneficial outcomes for the Shire.
The outside staff are under the direction of the Manager for Works and Services and Team Leaders for Construction, Maintenance and Parks & Gardens and perform the following tasks on behalf of Council:

- Tree Pruning on Road Reserves
- Drainage
- Ovals and Sports Ground Management
- Parks & Gardens
- Waste Transfer Station
- Cemetery
- Town Maintenance

Road Maintenance / Drainage / Footpaths / Kerbs
The Council is responsible for the construction and maintenance of gravel and bitumen roads within the Shire, with the exception of those roads maintained by the WA Main Roads Department. This maintenance and construction function extends to the drainage systems, footpaths and kerbing.
Reporting of pot holes, damaged kerbs, footpaths, flooding of streets or other minor maintenance requests can be done by contacting Council on 9045 4006.
Damaged Street Signs
Street Signs and Traffic Control signs are the responsibility of the Council. All queries/complaints in relation to these are to be directed to Manager Works & Services on 9045 4006.
Waste Transfer Station
This facility is located on Inverarity Rd. Residents are asked to comply with the directional signs for the dumping of waste material.
Asbestos is accepted at the site, subject to conditions, a maximum quantity of one cubic meter only is allowed to be dumped. If further information is required, contact the Manager of Development Services, Mr. John Mitchell at the Shire Office on 9045 4006.
Cemetery
The Kellerberrin cemetery is located on the Trayning Road adjacent to the Kellerberrin Hill. All major denominations have a set portion of the cemetery for burials.
Arrangements have been made with Midland monumental Works to supply plinths of various materials to Council’s standard specifications.
Ashes Path
A portion of the cemetery has been set aside for the internment of ashes. The Ashes Path is situated north/north west of the main gate and is landscaped with pine logs, rock retaining wall, shrubs and brick paving. Ashes can be interred by Council or family members and are covered by a Granite or Marble plinth of standard specifications. A bronze plaque is affixed to the top of the plinth.
