Kellerberrin is well served with communication facilities and have the following services:

• Standard telephone Service
• Broadband Service. (On Ramp, ISDN)
• Digital GSM Mobile Service (Telstra)
• CDMA Digital Mobile Service (Various service providers)
• Internet Service Provider (Bigpond & Westnet)
• UHF CB Repeater Channel 1
• Video conferencing (thru Telecentre)

Broadband Service

Telstra can provide a Broadband Service (ISDN). This facility will provide you with a data service in addition to your normal telephone line. The speed of this service for an Internet connection would be approx. twice that of a standard telephone line.

Digital GSM Mobile Service

Telstra provides a GSM Mobile Service which covers the Kellerberrin Townsite and sections of the Great Eastern Highway. This service was provided as part of the Commonwealth Government's 'Linking the Nation Program'.

CDMA Mobile Service

Kellerberrin is serviced by a CDMA Mobile Network, although provided by Telstra other carriers are able to lease portions of this spectrum and thus provide a competitive service to the consumer.

Internet Service Providers

Internet service is provided by the two major service providers in WA, Telstra Bigpond and Westnet. The Kellerberrin Telecentre is the local agent for Westnet.

UHF CB Repeater

A repeater is located on top of the Kellerberrin Hill and serves the farming community. This service is also invaluable during the bushfire season for local communication.

Video Conferencing

This service and a conference room is available for booking at the Kellerberrin Telecentre and is a cost effective way of conducting a conference over a wide area of the state without the necessity of traveling to a major centre.

Television

Kellerberrin is served by all the major Rural TV Networks and have the following services available within the shire:

• ABC, Chn. 5A transmits from Mawson (near Quairading), provides coverage to all the shire.
• ABC, Chn. 41, transmits from Kellerberrin Hill. This service was provided with funding from the Television Blackspot Program to overcome problems of electrical interference within the Kellerberrin townsite.
• GWN, (Golden West Network) Chn. 50, transmits from Mawson, provides coverage to all the shire.
• WIN TV, Chn. 42 provides a digital service to all the shire transmitted from the Mawson site. A digital set-top box is required to be able to receive this service.
• WIN TV Chn. 44 Transmits from the Kellerberrin Hill and provides a service to the townsite.
• SBS, Chn. 47, transmits from the Mawson site providing coverage to all the shire.

Radio

The ABC National and Rural services are available as well as a number of commercial AM and FM radio stations.

Postal Service

Kellerberrin has a daily mail service from Perth and provides a home delivery for mail. Metropolitan mail is generally received the next day.

Newspapers

Major metropolitan and national newspapers are available daily. There is a regional newspaper (Wheatbelt Mercury) printed once a week. Kellerberrin also publishes a local community newsletter, 'The Pipeline', which is printed fortnightly by local community volunteers.
