LOCAL GOVERNMENT EXTRA-ORDINARY ELECTION
ELECTION RESULT - CLOSE OF NOMINATIONS
It is hereby notified for public information that at close of Council Member Nominations on Thursday 19th February 2009 for the Extra-Ordinary Local Government Election, no nominations were received.
MEMBER VACANCY TERM OF EXPIRY NOMINATIONS
One (1) October 2011 NIL
Council will now determine whether to re-advertise the vacancy and the extra-ordinary election or seek to hold the vacant Council Member position over until the Bi-Annual Local Government Elections to be held during October 2009.
Electors will be advised of the outcome in due course once Council has followed the due statutory process including seeking approval from the Electoral Commissioner for the options stated.
